Who We Are
Stone Soup Ministry is a local ministry formed years ago in Tupelo by my friend Melissa Pound and others to help with the needs of the homeless and food insecure around Tupelo. Unfortunately, I lost my friend to cancer, and she asked me to continue her ministry.
What We Do
So, every Saturday, different groups who are led to serve come to Salvation Army on Carnation Street in Tupelo around 10:30. You set up whatever you would like to serve, including lunch, drinks, and dessert. Start serving around 11 and be done by 12! The number of lunches has fluctuated over time, usually 80 to 100. You can look at pictures on the page to get ideas of what other groups have served, etc. We like for it to be nutritious and filling. Seconds can be handed out around 11:30 if you have extra. Please get in touch with Sadie Schmidt at 601-940-6935 with any questions!! Thank you!
