Gentiva Hospice (Lee, Monroe, Chickasaw, and Calhoun Counties)

Who We Are

Gentiva Hospice helps people with a life-limiting illness, and their loved ones, make the most of the time they have together. We provide a unique plan of care that addresses the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of patients and their families during this challenging time.

What We Do

In addition to providing pain and symptom management, our team provides emotional support, spiritual counseling, respite care, and bereavement care. Volunteers may choose a variety of ways to support our mission:  (1) administrative tasks such as scanning documents, packing supply bags, sorting and filing reports, or creating care baskets, (2) check-in phone calls to ask how patient and caregiver are doing, find out if they need any supplies, and ensure them that we are thinking about them,  (3) assistance with planning and carrying out annual memorial service, and (4) visitation time to provide companionship to patients and respite for caregivers.
