Who We Are

We are all volunteers who believe that hungry people should be fed. We do not provide enough food to feed a family for a month but we attempt to supplement other food sources with food obtained from 3 primary sources,  USDA from MS food Network, Walmart trough Feeding America, and purchases from Mid South Food bank in Memphis.

What We Do

Distribute boxes of food to qualifying households in Pontotoc County.

This is done with volunteers of all ages that are involved in some or all of the following:

Taking applications and verifying eligibility on the first Saturday of each month

Processing files and issuing vouchers for a food box on the third Saturday of each month

Ordering and transporting food

unloading food deliveries

Packing food boxes on the Friday evening preceding the third Saturday each month

Loading food boxes into client vehicles on the third Saturday of each month

Volunteers can work as little as 1-2 hours per month up to as much as 2-3 hours per day on about 13 days per month.
