Opportunities From: Volunteer Northeast Mississippi

The Salvation Army's annual Community Thanksgiving meal is scheduled for Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 11AM-1PM.  Join us for an opportunity to serve others and give back to the community.  We need volunteers to help prepare and serve meals, deliver to-go meals, and keep our community center clean after guests finish eating.  If you're interested, please sign-up to serve.  Thanks in advance for your willingness to give back to those in need.  Blessings,

The Salvation Army is welcoming volunteers to join us at our Family (Thrift) Store on 703 Daybrite Dr. in Tupelo!

We receive so many wonderful donations from our community, and are looking for help with sorting out donated items, hanging clothing on hangers and keeping displays tidy and attractive to the customer. 

This is a take-your-time kind of opportunity, great for an individual, family, group of students or even friends that want to chat and catch up while organizing amazing clothing pieces or knickknacks that come in through donation. 

When you arrive, please enter through the main door and connect with our Operations Manager, Laura Bowles. She will be happy to familiarize you with the process and get you started for as much time as you are able to give.

This opportunity is available Monday-Friday.
The duration is set for an hour,  but we are very flexible and appreciate whatever time you have to give!

The Salvation Army offers to the community value items at discount costs, money made goes back into our Social Services and Community Care programs (shelter, hot meals) and we also provide emergency clothing vouchers to those in need.
