Opportunities From: Volunteer Northeast Mississippi

Our food pantry has been incredibly busy lately, and we need extra helping hands to keep up with the demand!

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us:

 - Sort and organize incoming donations

 - Restock shelves

 - Prepare food bags for families in need

When:  Tuesday & Thursday mornings 9AM - 12PM 

Where:  The Salvation Army (Social Services Building)

               527 Carnation Street

               Tupelo, MS 38804

Even two hours of your time makes a massive difference in fighting hunger in our community.

The Salvation Army is welcoming volunteers to join us at our Family (Thrift) Store on 703 Daybrite Dr. in Tupelo!

We receive so many wonderful donations from our community, and are looking for help with sorting out donated items, hanging clothing on hangers and keeping displays tidy and attractive to the customer. 

This is a take-your-time kind of opportunity, great for an individual, family, group of students or even friends that want to chat and catch up while organizing amazing clothing pieces or knickknacks that come in through donation. 

When you arrive, please enter through the main door and connect with our Operations Manager, Laura Bowles. She will be happy to familiarize you with the process and get you started for as much time as you are able to give.

This opportunity is available Monday-Friday.
The duration is set for an hour,  but we are very flexible and appreciate whatever time you have to give!

The Salvation Army offers to the community value items at discount costs, money made goes back into our Social Services and Community Care programs (shelter, hot meals) and we also provide emergency clothing vouchers to those in need.
