Volunteer: Readiness Coach (Volunteer)
About the Role As a Readiness Coach, you'll assist with public events that bring personal and emergency readiness skills directly to the community. You’ll support activities like CPR pop-up presentations, outreach tables, and volunteer-led workshops designed to improve confidence, safety, and career opportunities across your county. This is a supervised, hands-on opportunity to serve without needing prior experience or certifications. Key Responsibilities Assist at community CPR pop-ups, readiness and outreach eventsHelp set up, greet participants, and distribute materialsPresent micro-lessons with provided scriptsSupport a certified instructor during larger readiness training sessionsEncourage engagement and reinforce safety, dignity, and inclusionIdeal for You If You Are…Friendly and comfortable with peopleReliable and punctualInterested in community service, education, or public healthAge 18+Willing to attend a short orientation (online or in person) What You’ll Gain Hands-on service experience in your own community Free CPR and First Aid training (non certification) Leadership development and facilitation practice Verified volunteer hours and references useful in resumes Pathway to grow into a specialized volunteer role (tech, media, etc.)
