Help the Red Cross respond in the Union County area!
On average, the Red Cross responds to approximately 64,000 disasters a year. Of these, about 50,000 are single and multi-family fires and other localized events to which the Red Cross Disaster Action teams respond. Disaster Action Teams provide 24-hour emergency response ensuring that those affected have access to resources for basic necessities such as food, shelter and clothing.
Requirements as a Disaster Action Team Specialist:
- Complete self-paced and virtual training as you develop essential skills to assist clients.
- Participate in a flexible on-call schedule that is designed to your personal schedule.
- While on call, respond with a team to assist local families after a home fire or other event.
- Apply basic computer skills as you document activities and communicate with others.
