The Salvation Army is inviting all volunteers to join us for Empty Bowls 2023!
Our event raises money for The Salvation Army's ministries that serve those who go hungry and are food insecure.
It centers around savory soups, beautiful bread and sweet treats at our Bake Sale table and we are always looking for more folks to join our team of chefs!
Do you or your family, group, ministry or restaurant want to be a part of this Northeast Mississippi decades-old tradition?
Are you looking for opportunities to serve that are new and unique?
Do you want the community to sample some of the delicious recipes that your restaurant has to offer before they even walk through your door?
Please consider joining in, by preparing 100 servings of soup, donating bread or sharing items for our Baked Good sale table!
We'd love to have you on Wednesday March 1st in person, but if you aren't able to come and serve yourself, we will happily pick up the soup from you, heat it here and serve it with your name proudly displayed for all to see. There is also room for promotional materials at the table where your soup will be served that folks can take with them when they stop for your delicious soup.
We have thousands of folks that come to Empty Bowls, many will drive for hours to experience all the flavor that our area has to offer! Each ticket purchased includes a lunch of soup, bread and bottled water as well as a beautiful, locally handcrafted pottery bowl to take home.
