Each service provider needs to be entered in the central resource registry through a link hosted by Dept of Health.
Note: volunteer information: will have to close out the browser and re-click the link for each organization they enter.
Project:
- Anticipated hours: Around 40, some weekday preferred.
- Location: remote – all they need is the manual and link.
- Additional work options – a contact email address is needed for each organization to request updates for their services. It is a plus if volunteers can call and get that, but not necessary at this time.
- Wording to use when calling: Hello, my name is _______. I am volunteering with Hope Rising MS and ___________ to build a central resource director of services in your area. This information is housed by the Dept of Health and is a joint project with MS Public Health Institute, Dept of Health and Hope Rising MS. Is there a contact email you can provide that allows us to reach out for updates on your services?
- Volunteer Age limit: 16 and older with good reading and typing skills.
- Project Deadline: July 31.
The directory will go live August 1. Our deadline for having this manual entered in that directory is July 31. We can continue to update after the directory is live.
