Volunteer NEMS and the Early Childhood Coalition are hosting a book drive in conjunction with the Martin Luther King, Jr. celebrations in Tupelo. All books collected will be donated to the 15 Little Free Libraries in Lee County. We invite you to collect books from your neighbors and friends and from your own home and bring them to our drop-off location, Tupelo Middle School, on Sunday, January 19, from 1:30-4:30. We chose this time and place because the MLK "Shine A Light" program will be held there at 2:30, with a reception to follow. The public is invited to attend, and you can drop off your books at that time. Even if you are not attending the program, please plan to bring books to donate. The Little Free Libraries allow easy access to books, and we are pleased to be part of the effort to keep them stocked.
