Who We Are
The GumTree Museum of Art is a public visual arts gallery that maintains a high standard of visual art appreciation for its members and the public and serves as an educational institution for the visual arts.
What We Do
Through the highest quality exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and other activities, the Museum has established itself as a center for the promotion of the visual arts and an important cultural asset to the state of Mississippi. Much emphasis is placed on the importance of education through hands-on workshops for children and adults. Hosted by the GumTree Museum of Art, the GumTree Festival, a juried fine arts and crafts festival, is a Mother's Day Weekend tradition. Other activities included in the festival are a student art scholarship, a youth writing competition, hands-on art activities, and an original songwriter's competition. The GumTree Festival attracts artists from across the USA, vying for the opportunity to showcase their talents.
