We are looking for volunteers to help recruit...more volunteers. Over 90% of the work of the American Red Cross is done by volunteers, so we constantly recruit in order to carry out our mission. Our North Mississippi Chapter Recruitment Team is currently looking to fill spots for three different positions:
Community Event Representative - This team member will help represent the Red Cross at certain community events, such as college and career fairs, health fairs, community festivals, etc.
Community Research Assistant - This virtual team member will assist in researching community organizations and events within our chapter area in order to gather information for recruiting and promotional purposes. Being able to navigate social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and internet search engines (Google) is a requirement.
Community Publicist - This team member will assist in distributing promotional materials within their community. The team member, which for this position can be either a student or adult, will go to high-traffic community businesses to see if they will allow us to promote our volunteer opportunities at their place of business.
Training is provided for all Volunteer Recruitment Team Members to teach Red Cross Recruitment best practices and to help gain an understanding of all lines of service within the Red Cross.
