The Salvation Army is inviting volunteers to join us for our Empty Bowls Fundraiser!
Hosted by The Salvation Army's Women's Auxiliary, all proceeds benefit The Salvation Army's community food ministries, providing hot meals as well as emergency food boxes to those in need. At this time we are serving over 1000 hot meals each week in our Community Center so the need is great!
Volunteer opportunities the day of the event include:
- setup help (signage out, service areas prepared, dining tables ready, soups heated and ready)
- serving soup
- handing out water
- keeping tables cleared
- helping in To-Go area
- helping in Curbside Pickup area
- clean up (signage taken down, boxing up leftover supplies, cleaning pots, packaging leftover soup)
This event is a great fit for volunteers of all ages and abilities to come and join in!
Volunteers are asked to purchase a ticket, you can find them online here.
This year's ticket purchase includes your lunch as due to covid, our bowl makers have been unable to gather and make bowls. We hope that you will still join us for soup and to support this great cause.
