Get Connected Icon Trained Sheltering Associates are offered 8 -12 hours shifts during local disaster response.

Description

As a Disaster Sheltering Service Associate you will provide shelter, comfort and food to Tishomingo County area families inside a Red Cross shelter after a disaster event.

Shelter Service Associates complete tasks necessary for shelter operations and help disaster clients. Activities within a Red Cross shelter may include working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information, or helping volunteers and clients in other ways.

Train further and gain experience to become a Sheltering Supervisor to direct and support a team of caring and capable Shelter Service Associates.

This position is perfect for groups who want to volunteer and serve together. We are eager to share details or schedule a speaker to introduce the opportunities to your community or faith-based group.
